The SCJLS Junior Board was developed in 2014 as a way to give students leadership opportunities and a voice in the community. Being a Junior Board member means being an ambassador of the Smith County Junior Livestock Show. You will be interacting with community stakeholders, businesses, and other supporters.

Requirements are as follows:

  • 4-H, FFA, or FCCLA member of participating club/chapter.

  • Must be in grades 6-12.

  • Must participate in a minimum of three sanctioned events outside of the SCJLS. A list of event can be downloaded below.

  • Attend all required junior board meetings.

  • Attend the SCJLS marketing workshop.

Participation Form

Students who join the SCJLS Junior Board must complete the participation form below following each event.

This is the same form for the Top Hand Award that is open to high school students. Please note some events do not qualify for both.
