Scholarship Info

The Smith County Junior Livestock Show strives to provide scholarships to outstanding FFA, 4-H, and FCCLA members. Each year, applicants go through an interview process and are awarded at our SCJLS show auction.

Deadline is March 13, 2026 at 11:59 PM.

Eligibility Requirements
  • Applicant must have participated as an exhibitor at the Smith County Junior Livestock Show for a minimum of two years during his/her high school career.

  • Applicant must be a bona fide 4-H, FCCLA, or FFA member on good standing with a Smith County club or chapter.

  • Applicants need not major in agriculture to obtain the scholarship.

  • Only graduating seniors are eligible to apply.

  • Qualifications will be based on leadership, citizenship, SCJLS participation, project work, and need.

  • High school transcript must be attached.

  • A photograph of the applicant must accompany the application.

Method of Selection
  • Applications should be submitted online by March 13 at 11:59 PM.

  • Winners will be announced at the Smith County Junior Livestock Show Sale of Champions.

  • Applicants should fill out an official Smith County Junior Livestock Show application posted in the spring.

  • Applicants will be selected through the SCJLS Scholarship Committee comprised of community stakeholders.
